Bonus: There appears to be a strong early turnout for middle-aged white male "unaffiliated" voters.

Early voting should be eliminated. The solution would be to have an Election Day holiday.

That’s me....middle aged White Male registered Independent.

I drove by the early voting place multiple times the first three days of early voting. The lines em were a block long every time. I decided to wait until next week when they are hopefully a little shorter (ie, there are plenty more of us still waiting to vote).

Also, there was a row of Trump supporters out front by the (busy) road holding up signs and telling people to honk for Trump. I heard a lot of honking. There were no supporters for Biden there doing anything similar.

The way I see it, the biggest problem here is Tillis. We don’t like him. Yeah, he says the right things NOW, but he was an early “Never Trumper”.

I sure don’t want that reprobate, Cunningham, to get in, but I’m going to need a shower after I vote for Tillis, if I can force myself to.

To compare the 310,000 early voting numbers in comparison to 2016... How much time remains in this year’s early voting.?

Democrats have cast 310,000 more votes than Rs.
Votes cast: 665K/355K/408K (D/R/U registered voters)
Republicans have won three straight days of early voting so far.

I am trying to understand your post. If Dems have cast more votes, how can the R's win ?

I know one dem who EV’ed = straight GOP.

I have heard of some black dem voters in Durham who intend to vote for Trump. Post election results will confirm the significance of these anecdotes and whether they were a good indicator of an above normal historical number of dems crossing over to Trump &/or GOP. Shades of 1972?

6) Caveat: Black voters have turned out in the first 3 days of in-person EV in large numbers (especially Day One).

This would not necessarily be a bad thing for Trump. He has more support among the black community this time around and those who are for him seem to be for him very enthusiastically. So it stands to reason these folk would line up on Day 1 to cast their votes.

Also you may have seen 77.7% of all early voters voted in 2016. More cannibalization.

It’s always telling when a state gets a visit from the top two.....Biden isn’t going there, so I’m not worried. Maybe that’s too simple...but

My wife and I went for a leaf-peeping drive in the country along winding and sometimes hair-raising roads in the area of NC west of the Blue Ridge Parkway today. SOLID Trump country...Trump flags, Trump banners, Trump yard signs. (Lots of Dan Forest for Governor material, as well.) NOT ONE Biden sign anywhere, and I mean not one. Didn’t see a Biden sign until we entered larger towns like Burnsville and such. (Asheville, of course; was a Biden sewer.) Shame these mountain areas are sparsely populated, because they are 100% for the President.
