With less than three weeks until the final votes can be cast, Cook County States Attorney Kim Foxx is heading into the home stretch of her re-election bid with the potential to be outspent nearly two-to-one by Republican rival Pat OBrien.
The Democratic incumbent reported having $202,290.45 left in her campaign coffers at the end of last month, and available filings show only $14,300 raised since then, giving her roughly $216,590.45 to spend.
Cook County residents have seen firsthand how Kim Foxx has failed to protect our families, victims of crime, and neighborhoods, OBrien said in a statement. I look forward to a spirited final stretch in this campaign. I once again implore Kim Foxx to be transparent and give Cook County residents the debates they have been asking for.

O'Brien may become the first Republican elected prosecutor since 1992.
What about ‘groot’?

Yep or a injection of Soros money......or both
Exactly. It is who “counts” the votes.
Gonna be tough for a white guy in a significantly 40% African American city where color and party affiliation always trumps competence to beat a black Dem, no matter how stupid, incompetent and corrupt she may be. In some quarters, those descriptors give one a political advantage.
O’Brien has almost no shot whatsoever.
I would LOVE to see him win - Crimesha Foxx is a catastrophe. But it’s quite rare for a Republican to win the State’s Attorney race in Crook County.
It’s the entire county, not just the city of Chicago. But still a tough row to hoe.
Give ‘em hell Pat.
