I've both lived there, and summered on the Gold Coast. Great memories.
To back up what you said, the funny part is, I'm not from the South but was treated friendly-wise as if I was a Southerner based on my accent. Michiganders are sharp, remarkably aware of any accent south of 40°N. I always got a kick out of that.

I’ve watched almost all of his rallies since 2015, and I’d say that this speech is either the best or 2nd best. He should repeat this one over and over again everywhere he goes. Hammer the attempt to erase our history, Critical Race Theory, and Biden corruption.

Talking about critical race theory.A former Black female high school basketball star had a trophy case with awards and mementos at the city high school. She had some interaction with a woman high school administrator or secretary who was wearing a Trump mask. After that she posted on social media that it was an example of "systemic racism" and then told the school she was removing all her belongings from the trophy window.

I’m alright with the cold if it stays cold. I don’t like cold one day and then in the 40s the next. Stay below freezing and I get used to it.
