Time to break the company up and Twitter the pieces into the wind

Whoa there partner.

There are lots of principled conservatives who let me know in no uncertain terms that Twitter is a private company and that if we don't like it we should start our own company.

It is a monopoly and was granted “protection” from liability lawsuits because they claimed they were a common carrier and did not censor such access.

This is false. Time to bust up the monopoly.

Buying up everything in sight squashes competition. Same as when Facebook’s been doing it. And they also censored sharing of the NYPost article.

People are already voting. This is affecting the election.

They are a publicly traded company, also under the protection of the government as a platform only.

There are lots of principled conservatives who let me know in no uncertain terms that Twitter is a private company and that if we don’t like it we should start our own company.

******************************************

First, It’s a publicly traded company.
Also, it’s a monopoly, and that’s illegal under most circumstances. It was able to become a monopoly because they claimed that they are a platform open to everyone. They were also given special protection against liability.
Do you think they would have become this big of a monopoly, if they started out being a publisher and banning conservatives?

They are no longer entitled to any more protections, and they should be treated like any other monopoly. Break them up!
