So what’s the story?
I know our medical facilities here are the reason the number of dead isn’t quite higher.
And it’s a virus that should be treated as something serious for the older or the already ill.
Is this who it is killing over there?
I don’t know why I think you know but you seem to know a lot :)
Thanks ahead of time if you do.

Poland and Hungary are in the same boat. All of Eastern Europe was very lightly hit during the first wave in March-May, but they are definitely catching up now.
Prostitution is legal in Czech Republic. Lots of sex tourism. One factor in the rise of cases.
slow the spread / flatten the curve - DOESN’T lower deaths. It spreads out the deaths.
STILL it was important to do it. Otherwise, our healthcare system might have been swamped.
GAVE US time to isolate the vulnerable and organize social distancing. And, who knows, maybe actually lower deaths if we slow the spread long enough to develop theraputics and eventually a vaccine.
CZECH REP. mostly dodged the virus until now. So, it is now going through something like what we went through. Though nowhere near as bad as New York or New Jersey.
I’m sure this isn’t true. We all know that only the United States has significant infections/deaths from Covid, because Trump. Everyone is perfectly healthy in countries where Donald Trump isn’t president.
Almost word for word what Phoenix, AZ mayor Kate Gallego said back in June. How did that work out?
"You can pay me now, or you can pay me later"
Wonder how it’s going in Sweden, in contrast.
In looking at the numbers, much of Europe has a greater infection rate in the past few days than the US. In some cases, a much greater rate. These also include France, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, even Switzerland. It seems that the virus spreading will respond to the level of precautions taken (masks, shutdowns, etc.)...so countries lose either way.
Did they just hold a Trump rally in Prague this week or something? I kid of course, but it shows how insular our COVID discussions can get during a presidential election. Every once in a while we need to take note of developments overseas.
I don’t believe a word of this. Something else is happening. The Czech Republic would be a perfect place, full of chaos, to claim that the Rona is killing people.
it seems the biggest hospital disasters are when your hospital workers get infected.
other than new york, we have been fmgood at keeping thecworkers from getting and transmitting, which keeps hospitals open.
