There is an incubation period for the bug. My feeling is that Trump was under the weather all through the debate with Biden, and his demeanor was of someone who was exhausted and trying to fight through the exhaustion. On TV, that showed up as bad-tempered and argumentative. I thought he did the right thing to get his message through, but the optics, according to my wife, who’s more attuned to these things, were not to his advantage.

That is what Trump said, I believe on Varney, this morning. He said that going on NBC he would reach an audience that doesn’t usually hear him and that’s why he does it.
