I thought President Trump did very well tonight. Trump had to know going in that this was a setup by NBC News on a field not favorable to him (and it was), but Trump was great at diffusing Savannah Guthrie’s questions.
The first half of the town hall was a debate between Trump and Guthrie. Guthrie tried her best to debate Trump and play “gotcha” with him, but Trump fought back.
The real town hall was in the last thirty minutes, and I enjoyed this part of the show. I didn’t mind the audience members and their questions. I kinda liked them actually. Trump was in his element while talking with the voters/audience members. He was great here. Savannah toned it down a bit after the 1st commercial break and became marginally tolerable.
I’m betting that there were lower expectations for Trump coming into this, since this town hall was likely to be a setup. However, Trump greatly exceeded the lowered expectations.
Well I gave it 5 minutes, my head’s pounding. If I were POTUS I wouldn’t dignify NBC with an interview, never mind let one of their flunkies yammer at me like that.
She interrupts, accuses him of untruths, and she’s enjoying every minute of it.

Trump did excellent. Only he has the guts to walk into another biased liberal hit job, directed and produced by lying media. Biden won’t do it. Trump has no problem doing it.
My only advice would be not to allow these deceitful chatter monkeys to set the pace. The leftist wench was literally full auto machine gun mouth, like she just snorted a line of crank. At that point I would have been slowing down my responses like I’d been in the Ozarks for 50 years, sitting on my porch, shooting beer cans with a bb gun. I’d force her drug induced fast jibber jabber into a slow southern drawl.
The person who chose the NBC audience made an effort to find citizens who really were undecided. That was refreshing. Good job on that part NBC.
Unfortunately Savannah Guthrie was NOT happy with honest undecided voters. She wanted the usual haters. Questions chosen for their sting... not their concern. White liberal ‘elites’ with attitude... that’s what Savannah wanted ...
So, she tossed the idea of a town hall and used the occasion to express her contempt for our President - only occasionally calling on citizens. (as if the American people haven’t been inundated with the positions of white liberal ‘elites’.
And today’s news? Only the back and forth with the NBC white liberal ‘elite’ hater... Not one citizen question make the cut. Screw ‘em.

8-930. Trump’s was on NBC from 8-9, one hour. If you’re in for 30 minutes longer you’re gonna get more viewers.
