law enforcement agents fired 37 bullets and fatally struck him

I won't even venture an opinion as to whether that number was either excessive or necessary. I wouldn't know. I wasn't there.

But I will say it annoys me that in the movies, it usually seems like it only ever takes one shot to take down anybody. They don't even make a sound. They always just drop like a sack of potatoes with that first bullet. It's over. Maybe real life isn't so clean.

Thomas Sowell, who was a US Marine, brought this up in one of his books, talking about the amount of bullets expended in these kinds of exchanges versus how many actually hit the target...and this 37 bullets fired is common, even if only a few hit.

The recent assassination of Kelner in Denver by Matthew Dolloff took only one shot....and Kyle Rittenhouse need only one shot for one of his assailants...did you miss that news?

Yeah but have you noticed that crooks with full auto rifles don't stand a chance when a 9mm hand gun shows up?
