Good thing Webster’s is neutral/apolitical>s. I also object to using “gender” instead of “sex”. That’s to not offend the Karens.

Especially when so many things are undated.

Fortunately, court decisions are published and I will bet ACB has read more decisions that used the term "sexual preference" than "sexual orientation". ACB, after all, is a lawyer, judge and professor of law and not a politician, social worker or community organizer.
