AfD is not far right. They just dont like their country being flooded with Muslims who hate western civilization and want to live off the German taxpayer and they question why they should just roll over and abolish their country for a Yurp superstate ie the EU.
The Establishment in Germany cannot abide any questioning of their dogma or their political decisions. Thus any challenge to them is immediately deemed far right.
