Even when I have some characteristic about Leftists that I want to compliment them on...it always comes out sounding like an insult!

I had a friend - one of the best I’ve ever had in my life - who died a few years ago.
She was a lifelong Democrat - had Obama signs in her windows, and everything.
There were times when she seemed perplexed at what liberal policies were doing to the country - (I recall one time when we drove through a nearby area full of Hispanics - most probably illegal - and she said, ‘We’re starting to look like a third-world country!’ But I didn’t call her on it.- after a certain point in national affairs, we had just agreed to never discuss politics.)
I may not have agreed with her politically, but she was one of the most kind and generous women that I’ve ever known; and I miss her terribly.
Human things like this are not as simple as many people here attempt to portray them.
