The Netherlands is considering allowing kids 12 and under to be euthanized if they are terminally ill and have no hope of recovery.
Health Minister Huge de Jonge proposed the new policy to the States General of the Netherlands, the country’s legislature, on Tuesday, saying termination of life should be accessible for “a small group of terminally ill children,” the NL Times reported.
Currently, assisted suicide is legal in the country for babies under one-year-old and children over the age of 12 but De Jonge is concerned for the young people in between those age groups and their access to care, the outlet reported.

One article I read is the old people refuse to see the doctor. It does save a lot of medical costs. Alternative medicine is big for older people there.

You really can’t have equality and severely-handicapped people. Therefore, in the name of equality, you have to euthanize the inferior as well as handicap the gifted. Working at one end only (handicapping the gifted), reduces the average, eventually resulting in a nation of retards. By operating at both ends, you can have a nation of average people.
Let us now reconsider Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Liberal theologians say it promotes equality or even exalts the poor. They have it 100 percent wrong. Jesus was telling us to accept the poor as theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. His emphasis is in accepting inequality and loving everybody for who they are (at least, who they are in God’s eyes).
The Bible teaches us that both poverty and wealth have their temptations, and that the poor - unburdened by the responsibilities that come with wealth - have a kind of advantage in the simplicity of their lives.
I would admonish those who find themselves caught up in the rat race, to reconsider their priorities. Put God first. Don’t worry so much. And, remember to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. There are times to devote yourself single-mindedly to a purpose, but this is not all the time.
The Groningen protocol is alive and well in the Netherlands.

A generation of young men fought, bled and died over 75 years ago to stamp out an ideology that held this belief. A lot of them fought and died doing so in the Netherlands.
