China has warned it would take new measures in response to a planned U.S. arms sale to Taiwan, a self-ruling island claimed by Beijing, which also called out Washington partners India and Japan over territorial disputes across Asia.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian decried the sale of three advanced weapons systems to Taiwan. He called it a violation of the longstanding agreements by which Washington has foregone direct ties with Taipei in favor of Beijing.
"The United States has seriously violated the one-China principle, and the provisions of the three China-U.S. joint communiqués, especially the August 17 communique," Zhao said, "by selling arms to Taiwan, seriously interfered in China's internal affairs and seriously harmed China's sovereignty and security interests."
"China firmly opposes this," he warned, calling on the U.S. side "to fully recognize the very damaging nature of its arms sales to Taiwan, abide by the one-China principle and the provisions of the three China-U.S. joint communiqués, immediately cancel all arms sales plans to Taiwan, and stop arms sales to Taiwan and military ties between the United States and Taiwan."

This is the same sock puppet that accused the US of creating the virus, wasn't it?
Japan needs to reoccupy China.
Everybody knows that if Joe wins, China will settle down once they own the White House.
I take it the one China rule is earth...
Where is the P.I. in all this? Letting the others stand up for them?
Tell me again why I should support sending our manufacturing to China. Between lost jobs, lost tax revenue, and now the damage caused by their cover up of the covid outbreak, it seems that average Americans have lost far more than they have gained by saving $.10 on Chinese made paint brushes.
Let’s start shipping China’s fentanyl back to them...
Looks like Carter started it.
This is like the second or third threat of late, yeah, okie dokie.
I guess the one China principle has ended after China broke it’s agreement with Hong Kong. Bad actions have consequences.
There is danger in selling arms to Taiwan. Danger that China will get spanked.
PI is all for the sales to Taiwan. They’re also in territorial disputes with China. As is Vietnam.
Islam might have a problem with that....
Launching bioweapons against the US has consequences.
I wonder how hungry they can get when we cut them off and suspend the trade agreements.
On February 14, 2020, the United States and China entered into an historic Agreement that further opens Chinas food and agriculture market to American products. As a result of this Agreement, China removed unwarranted restrictions on the imports of U.S. beef and beef products, poultry and poultry products, and pet food products. China now allows imports for the first time of U.S. fresh potatoes and California nectarines. China is streamlining its facility registration procedures to allow imports from more than 2,000 U.S. export facilities of various beef, pork, poultry and processed meat products, dairy and infant formula products, seafood, animal feed including fish meal, feed additives, and distillers dried grains. All of these actions, along with additional commitments in the Agreement, will facilitate unprecedented levels of U.S. agricultural exports to China in the coming years. That can come to a screeching halt and they can eat Taiwan dirt.

China is pushing India into the embrace of the other democracies. This is in addition to South Korea and Singapore which are western aligned and Vietnam and the Philippines which both feel threatened by China. Xi has stupidly surrounded his country with enemies.
