And you can spot a phony a million miles away if they try to tell you that the guys killed on Extortion 1-7 were the same guys on the OBL raid - because they were not. O'Neill is out giving speeches for crying out loud. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar or is being lied to.

We are to be expected to think that Gold sq was executed and Red sq (who was the target - even though that is who these nuts are saying it was) - is just going to sit back and take it?
These people do not understand the SOF community. One of my guys (wasn't in my unit at the time) was one of the first guys on the scene of that crash. He was attached jointly to the 75th Rangers at that time. It was an RPG - not a stinger. You can certainly tell the diff. I know the guy very well - I performed his wedding.
These guys are not going to sit back and be quiet until 3 weeks before an election when there is a chance it could get swept under a rug.

Even among Seal Team Six there is more than one operational team. When “Seal Team Six” is out on a mission that is never the whole of “Seal Team Six”.
ST6 is organized into 4 line squadrons codenamed Red Squadron, Blue Squadron, Gold Squadron and Silver Squadron. Each line squadron contains around 50 operators and each squadron is divided into 3 troops. Troops will typically be divided into teams of assaulters and snipers.

I mean, this is after there have been movies and all sorts of leaks about what went on. Guys have been on TV. Simply saying who is dead and who isn't is orders of magnitude less revealing than that -- it isn't even classified at all, and you couldn't shut up all the familiy and friends even if it was.
Is there a possibility that there was some kind of deal with Iran to shoot down a bunch of SEALs as revenge? Sure -- I think it's very unlikely, but it's at least possible.
But this whole idea that it was really the guys who got OBL that were shot down is simply absurd. Way too many people who would know that the official story was a lie to keep quiet. Families, former SEALs...they'd never stop talking about it, and there's not a damn thing that could be done to stop them.
It's just ridiculous.
Information as to how they knew that data. Names, places etc are all a threat to security.

You've read too many novels.
It already has been stated -- publicly -- that SEALS from Red squadron went after OBL in Abbottabad, Pakistan, on May 2, 2011, and that SEALs from Gold got shot down in Wardak, Afghanistan on August 6, 2011. Those are known, public facts, and are not classified.
I don't know if you're doing this deliberately or not, but you are confusing operational security for a future or ongoing operation with security after the fact. The date, time, location, and units involved in D-Day were highly classified...until the entire world knew about it after the invasion. The OBL raid was highly classified, with a very restrictive need to know...until the President came on TV and told us all about it, and the Pentagon later revealed even more details.
The location, date, and units involved are all public knowledge and no longer classified, no matter how many times you claim to the contrary.
The names of the specific members of those units is classified -- or at least protected -- on a "need to know" basis, but of course all of the guys in those units know the names of guys with whom they serve, and their families know their names as well. So they are the ones who would know if the official story was a gigantic lie. And guys talk all the time after they get out about which units they were with, etc.. So none of that is truly secret, especially this long after the fact. As to how they'd know...
"I knew that because my husband didn't come home." "I knew Red Squadron came home because I also was in Red Squadron and drank beer with those guys" I knew it was guys in Gold who died because I was in Gold and knew all of them."
None of what I'm saying is remotely controversial, or would come across as unusual in the slightest, to anyone who has served anywhere near actual combat units. It's just the way things are.
