Lancaster County, outside of the city of Lancaster, is wall to wall Republican and solid Trump country.
I lived in the Lititz area for 7 years. After that I moved across the Susquehanna to live near Dillsburg (York County) for another 18. There are other areas of Lancaster County besides Lancaster City that have significant Democrat leanings. Ephrata and most of the bedroom communities in the northeast section of the county for one. A lot of those homeowers are commuting back & forth to the Philly environs to work. Same goes for some of the communities south of Rt. 30 between Strasburg & Willow Street. Majority Republican, but not dominant.
Part of the problem, from the mayor's point of view, is that rioters who were arrested in September, will be tried in Lancaster COUNTY court, and the county District Attorney, Heather Adams, as a Republican who will NOT let these idiots off.
