This would not have happened had the media involved not attempted to step forward into an active role. What we are about to see is a serious attempt on the part of those media to literally get away with murder, not just on the part of the television station in question but its accomplices in the national media as well who will try to spin this away. Any pretense that the victim is equally culpable is only that, a thin pretense, and it would be well to note well the people doing it.

I can hear the media spinners revving up but I think it’s a little too late. What we have here - I’d be grateful for correction by the more informed - what we appear to have here is one active and recorded agitator and two paid employees of that television station (in the station’s own terms), the first to provoke a confrontation, the second to record it, and the third who appears to have been there for no other reason than to kill somebody, and who did so. This is something quite a bit darker than a simple attempt to create and slant news, this is a full-blown conspiracy to commit murder. We are accustomed to media bias, but this is open, bloody warfare on political opponents on the part of people who apparently consider that now a legitimate function of their job.

That appears to be correct from photographs taken at the scene. The conservative guy never thought the situation reached the level where he needed to use his firearm. Unfortunately the rabid leftist shooter had different ideas.
