RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel appeared on CBS' "Face the Nation "on Sunday and called out the Presidential Debate Commission for their election interference.
"I think voters are very frustrated by the corrupt debate commission, that they would cancel a second debate," McDaniel told host Margaret Brennan. "I think it feeds in to the belief that this 47 years that Joe Biden has had in DC is again protecting him from facing the voters. And Americans are frustrated that this election commission interfered with our ability to see these two candidates debate."
Brennan then repeated Democratic talking points, noting the existence of people on the commission who are technically Republicans and accepting the commission's excuse that the debate was canceled due to health concerns. McDaniel corrected the record.
"Well, they're not nonpartisan Republicans. Those Republicans have been very critical of this president," McDaniel pointed out. "They did not follow the science. It was done unilaterally without talking to the candidates and they interfered in the election. It is corrupt. It is what DC is. They are in the pocket of Joe Biden, and they've prevented the American public from seeing these candidates debate and it's wrong for the country."
Former Sen. and Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole felt compelled to speak out in support of President Trump. Dole, 97, said he knows all the Republicans serving on the Presidential Debate Commission personally and considers them all friends. Dole admitted that he is concerned none of them support the president. "A biased Debate Commission is unfair," Dole tweeted.
"There is a candidate for president right now doing an absolute power grab," McDaniel warned.
We knew the media would come up with some excuse to cancel the debate and help keep Biden in the basement. The liberal media is all in this election to remove President Trump from the White House.
And if Democrats win, they vow to pack the court and end the filibuster. The green new deal, medicare for all, abolishing fossil fuels, defunding the police -- every nightmare scheme concocted by the far-left will soon be a reality if Democrats succeed in November.
The only undecided voters are highly unlikely voters in the first place.
And that should start with the RNC. It’s almost like they are in on the scam. First Prince Reibus and now Romeny. Old boss, same as the new boss. Remember Michael Steele before Prince Reibus, that phoney RINO scum bag, now is a never trumper on CNN trashing his own party.
Better than most, but he did state he was friends with the very never trumpers on that commission. Not sure how much of a hero he is cozying up with the enemy and the swamp
I totally blame Ronna for the loss of the 2018 elections that were STOLEN!! Ronna was asleep at the switch Dems harvesting everywhere WITH extended counting for 2 weeks after election, Ronna ASLEEP!!!
The elections commission should go to the RNC and DNC for their members each cycle.
I agree. The debates aren’t going to change my mind. But as long as they are going to have debates, I want to see a fair and unscripted debate with no interference from a biased moderator.
Bob Dole has a friendly relationship with everyone - that doesn’t mean being cozy with them all. I try to do the same, even if our politics are different. Although, those who do not like Donald Trump, I don’t respect, don’t trust. But still engage in light conversation. They all know I am a conservative without saying a word.
Sure seems like an easy gig. Show up for work for a few days every four years, pick a city, pick a format, pick a leftist debate assistant for the Democrat candidate, pick up your check and go home.
I get he may be friendly or polite with people, but the way it is stated, “he knows all the Republicans serving on the Presidential Debate Commission personally and considers them all friends. Dole admitted that he is concerned none of them support the president.” Sounds like he IS close personal friends with them, not just polite casual acquaintances.
The only person with anything to gain from debating is Biden.
The only person with anything to lose from debating is Trump.
Personally I think that the vice presidential debate said it all.... cause if the dems win, Kamala WILL BE the next president.
With a pre-supposed narrative for Pence that he had to accept in order to answer. And Pence always was warned he was out of time, while as Camel was given time for lengthy soliloquys of pure BS. No matter, though. He won the debate despite these handicaps. Trump kept getting interrupted first by Biden, then the moderator, and so he started returning fire, and completely blew up the debate. It was great and I loved it, except he allowed Biden to say some completely bogus things that he should have responded to.
He did say these were friends of mine but they dislike Trump and the commission was not fair and biased against the President. He didn’t have to do it and at 92 year old he deserves credit for calling his friends out. Which is more then I can say for a Republicans.

Wrong, Jim. Those grandchildren are looking directly to you for formative lessons on our Republic. Not even kidding a little bit. My Grandfather was incredible, just the best, a JFK Democrat, he knew this Republic was tenuous, he knew we had to strike the rock-solid middle ground between the rich and poor, and stay out of needless, heedless wars. Most of all he cared about the facts, the truth. He voted for Reagan twice before he passed.

The cancelled it because they arbitrarily changed the format and Trump decided not to participate, didn't they?
We had 3 years to figure this out and we did nothing now the so called commission is overtly interfering in an election.
