President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and second lady Karen Pence called leaders of OUTspoken, a group of LGBT conservatives who gathered in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday, to thank them for their support.
OUTspoken, a group of LGBT conservatives who “support freedom and diversity of thought,” tweeted a photo of members of the group receiving the special phone calls from the leaders.
When asked about the event, former Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Richard Grenell — the first openly gay cabinet member in U.S. history — told Breitbart News exclusively, “President Trump is the best President the gay and lesbian community has ever had.”
“And his support in the gay community is the highest any Republican has ever seen,” he continued. “Vice President Pence and President Trump both spoke with conservative gay leaders this weekend and personally thanked them for their historic work to re-elect Trump-Pence.”
U.S. Army veteran and author Rob Smith told Breitbart News that “hearing from both the Vice President and the President on the same weekend” made him “realize how important the mission is.”
“This is the strongest Republican administration in American history in so many different ways, but particularly in their embrace and acceptance of so many gay Republicans!” he said. “The left want to continue to make being gay or lesbian a wedge issue, but that’s no longer so. And it feels great!”
In a tweet on the event, Smith added that members of the LGBT community have the “BIGGEST ally” in President Trump:
An honor to be there for this. I lost nearly ALL my gay friends when I “came out” as a Republican.
But I gained a movement of sane, free-thinking gays that will save the #LGBT community from the radical left.

Homosexual behavior is not conservative.
But its good that those at least believe in responsible fiscal policy and civil society.
The Left exploited the various individuals that inevitably became LGBTQ... amplified the rhetoric to the point of being intolerable. That’s how the Left rolls.
What the hell is it with these people? Why is their sexual deviancy their sole defining characteristic? Why do they want everyone to know about their perversion? .... the Bible says: ‘they glory in their shame’ . Disgusting.

Er..this is one distinction Trump can do without but I understand he has to tread carefully.

Ping. My only issue culturally speaking: is when all the hyper-leftist sexuality agenda points make its way to children’s programming in schools and television...and starts to replace the role traditional religion should play etc...
Agree; Grenell should replace Wray as FBI Director or Haspel as CIA Director on the day after the election.
Could not give a rats about Grinells gay or lesbian stance. However that guy released info for the American public that needed to see corruption, unparralled.

According to a recent poll I saw, 45% of gay men plan to vote for Trump. This utterly shocked the self appointed “leaders”.
I think a lot of them just want to be left alone - which makes them libertarian leaning and opposed to the authoritarian Left.
I pray for Grennell and his fellow gays, that God will show them the truth, and that they will be converted. As a Christian, I cannot agree with the gay lifestyle, but I appreciate conservatives (in every area except their sexuality, it seems) like them, who are excellent at their jobs, and support POTUS.
Right now saving this country is far more important than whether someone is gay or straight I LOVE Rick Grenell he is AWSOME and I could care less that he is gay!! We have MANY wonderful outspoken gay people on our side the difference in the gays on our side is that they are not running around with rainbows on, marching in gay parades, or shoving their gayness down our throats they are very quiet about their lifestyle AND are very conservative and patriotic!!!

Most gays just want to be left alone and are put off by efforts to command their allegiance to the Left.
The only good thing about this that I can see is it lets Trump stick yet another thumb in the leftists eye. Yeah, it might pick up a few voters, but...meh.
