Even though I had voted for every Republican presidential candidate since 1980, I didnt vote for Donald Trump in 2016.
Many Republican nominees had been huge disappointments to me, and I wasnt going to vote for yet another GOP candidate I thought would betray my trust. I couldnt imagine Trump as a genuine conservative who would champion limited government, respect individual freedom and liberty, and protect the unborn but was I ever wrong. Although I didnt vote for Trump in 2016, I would crawl over broken glass to vote for him in 2020.

The MSM is ONLY interest in “former Trump voters” even if they have to make them up.
Good for you!
So would we (the rest of us).
Amen Brother I would too! Broken glass
The title describes me with the exception that I did vote “for” him in that I voted against Hillary.
I was banned here twice for bad-mouthing him, once during the primary and once during the general. But he’s made me a believer both through what he’s doing and his fighting attitude.
Before trump, the D’s were Lucy holding the football and the R’s were Charlie brown kicking and missing as she pulls the ball away.
With the “Trump” version of charlie brown, as she pulls the ball away, he kicks her in the head.
I looked it up but can't find any info.
Whether one likes Trump or not
EVERYONE should fear the Democrats
“The title describes me with the exception that I did vote for him in that I voted against Hillary.”
Same here. But this time around I will be voting for him.
In fact, he will the first incumbent President I vote for.
This will be the second time in my life that I vote FOR a candidate. The last time was 1980.
And notice I didn’t include 1984. Trump became what I hoped Reagan would be. Reagan was good, but still...
I though he was a joke ....only thing I new about him was Trump Tower ...
Went and got Art of the Deal...was that an eye opener then Get Tough America sounded like Ronald Reagan wrote it..
this sealed the deal
Trump was a hands on CEO......

Worth watching if you have never seen it
I voted for him in the primary and election. He had me at the escalator ride. My husband voted for Cruz in the primary...well, as usual, he should have listened to me!!! I have excellent intuition!
“I’d crawl over broken glass to vote for him now”.
I think you’re going to get your chance, this year.
BTW I had thought of taking old jeans and glueing broken glass to the knees to wear to the polls. :)
Same for me, a Cruz supporter, but he has done things that I dont believe Cruz wouldve done, being a politician, and worrying about how the GOP would accept these policies. I think Trump gave us an opportunity to make some changes & I wish Cruz world get his supporters to fully get behind Trump for the sake of our country!
I was a reluctant Trump voter in 2016. His stand on Kelo was not encouraging, he had been a Democrat and cozy with Democratic politicians. Man, was I wrong. I’d crawl over broken glass with an N95 mask on to vote for him in 2020.
I DID Vote For Trump In 2016, and Id Crawl Over Broken Glass To Vote For Him Now!
I have a couple buddies exactly like this. They voted libertarian last time. Theyre fully on board with Trump this time.
LOL! Perfect description.
Who will you be voting for if you vote?
I’m thinking that conservatives may abandon the ‘stupid party’ in droves for their failure to leverage majority status while they had it.
I desperately want a Trump re-election, to hold the Senate and retake the House. But if we strike out, the pubbies can enjoy their Washington Generals role in perpetuity without me. If they manage to cheat Donald Trump out of office, I want to see Linda Graham taken out, too. Then he can go cry on McCain’s grave and I’ll have something to piss on. Heck, I’ll even have prostate surgery to maximize urine flow.
I think a lot of people are thinking like this author. An anecdotal example .... took my dad to the cardiologist & the PA (we like her better than the doctor) & dad starting talking about “how the world has changed”, especially for someone his age. Dad brought up politics & the PA said she had, very reluctantly, voted for Trump in the previous election, because she could not stomach voting for Hillary. She said that this election, she will enthusiastically vote for Trump ... he has surprised her by keeping his campaign promises.
