This is in Chicago. I can't believe the cops will not even shoot at someone using their vehicle as a weapon against another cop car.

I saw an article yesterday that said 90% of the arrests they've made during the rioting in Portland have had the charges dropped, so I can see why the cops don't want to fill out all of that paperwork only to have some goofy liberal judge dismiss the charges.
Before the election (1964 I believe) actor Ronald Reagan gave a speech called A Time For Choosing. That speech is as applicable today as it was then. If President Trump will not debate he should give his own updated version of a A Time For Choosing.
In Texas this would be multiple counts of attempted capital murder of a peace officer .

Chicago police officers had a man stopped in the Fernwood neighborhood Wednesday morning when a woman pulled up and demanded officers let him go because the man they had pulled over was someone she knew, police said.
But police say what began as a bizarre demand quickly and inexplicably escalated into an attack that left three officers injured when the woman reportedly began ramming squad cars with her 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, according to officials.
So the police are supposed to let her friend go....because she knows him? What the actual fuck?
And when it doesn’t happen, she starts attempting to run cops over and wrecking squad cars? Again, where does this mutant spawn from?
We won’t even ask where she gets the idea this is any sort of proper behavior seeing as how Groot, Crimesha, Prickwrinkle, Evans, and Dart all approve of and encourage it on a near daily basis.
In this litigious society, the shooting officer has many legal responsibilities .
He must instantaneously evaluate the seriousness of the vehicle assault to determine if it would be considered 'deadly force',
, evaluate the background, determine if any pedestrians or residents might get hit by any discharged rounds,
and know that there will be a hoard of 'Saturday Quarterbacks' who will evaluate his actions from the comfort of their chairs, after the fact.
Again, let me emphasize that this is an instantaneous decision that might have perilous consequences and civil liability.
We need a Hank Voight for every police command in the nation...
