I checked the paperwork the mayoral candidates had to file; it doesn’t ask for party affiliation. And there’s no affiliation on the ballot either.
Texas appears to be the same as Tennessee, where you don’t declare party affiliation when you register to vote; you only declare which party primary you wish to vote in when actually voting in the primary.
