I live in WI. This ruling better hold.

Must be one of those white judges that Harris was so incensed about last night.

Democrats almost certainly will appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Problem for the dems is that a 4 to 4 vote in the SCOTUS leaves the lower court ruling in tack.

This should be the standard.
BTW if they throw it to the Supremes and SCOTUS lets the ruling stand, it becomes the law for all 57 states.

If only our pusillanimous current MI-GOP would pursue this in Michigan.

That’s the problem with this tie bit.

It will— in a similar case recently, 8 justices ruled that the Fed courts can’t change the rules in the middle of the game— measures responding to COVID are the purview of the state legislatures, not the Courts.

A 2-1 panel of the 7th U.S. Court of Appeals sided with Republicans in the state and the Republican National Committee, who appealed the decision issued last month by District Judge William Conley.
The two judges in the panels majority were both nominated by Republican presidents. Circuit Judge Frank Easterbrook was appointed by Ronald Reagan and Circuit Judge Amy St. Eve was appointed by Trump.
Circuit Judge Ilana Rovner, an appointee of George H.W. Bush, also a Republican, wrote in a dissent that the majoritys decision was a travesty.
The case can still be appealed to the full 7th Circuit and the Supreme Court.

Just an FYI:
Ilana Rovner is an old fossil Lefty Resistance judge who refuses to retire so Trump can replace her.

in a win for Republicans who have fought attempts to expand voting across the country. What a dumba$$ statement. The defeated attempts have been through shooting down judicial activism.
Voting laws and any changes, are controlled by state legislatures, not local and federal judges.

(AP) A federal appeals court on Thursday blocked a decision to extend the deadline for counting absentee ballots in battleground Wisconsin, in a win for Republicans who have fought attempts to expand voting across the country.
Evil old AP:
Republicans fighting attempts to expand voting?
Republicans are fighting Democrat attempts to steal an election.
To: knighthawk
this is yet ANOTHER huge win for the rule of law, election integrity, & thwarting Democrat election theft ...
