I told people in April that if we shut down, the state and local government lose a massive amount of their tax base and tax income. And they can’t print money like the Feds can.
I’ve also been saying for two months that we are in the eye of the storm, and the other side is economical. Finally, I believe this strongly: Every year has been more eventful and “interesting” than the year before for the last couple of decades. 2019 was a chitshow with the Kavanaugh nonsense, the “impeachment” etc. But 2020 beats it easily as western civilization commits suicide.
But just wait until 2021. You ain’t seen nothin’ yet. And it doesn’t matter WHO wins the election for me to say that.
This is why it was so important for me to drive to Seattle to my mother’s home to pick up thousands of rounds of ammo that my father left behind when he died this year, as well as the guns and peripherals.
That said, I don’t know what I’m going to do with TWO 33 round magazines for the glock 19. One in each pocket, I suppose...
To be clear, I’m really no fan of shooting guns, but now I can at least practice on my property and become proficient in their use, thanks to the ammo. I was always to cheap to buy much, so I never really did more than “store” my guns. They are all there strictly for varmints, food, and self defense. The only one that ever leaves our 32 acres is the one in my car (self defense)
We also started raising chickens again. 20 of them as mostly layers with a rooster.
But I strongly believe that as crazy as 2020 is, 2021 will be one for the history books. I feel a little like I’m living in Poland in August of 1939, and September 1st is a comin’. Hopefully it doesn’t get that dramatic. But even if it does, history will not repeat exactly. It never does.
Florida may be open but a lot of fast food places are still drive thru only...and restaurants are not doing 100% capacity...the only stores that is busy are Wal Mart and Publix...people are still scared to death..,..sports has reopened in our school district..that is the only normal for kids..school is still masks and shields..
“May you live in interesting times” is looking like it will become so.
“Keeping these measures in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage ...
There has never been nor will there ever likely be a vaccine for a corona virus.
So anytime you hear about anyone talk about an upcoming vaccine for Covid 19, you may dismiss this person’s information as nonsense.
Originally, it was “Two weeks to flatten the curve”.
Now, it’s “Forever, for the environment”.

Bravo !
Reality check.
COVID-19 is airborne.
That means, in the air, everywhere.
It is ENDEMIC.
We will ALL get exposed..over and over.
MANY of us will test positive, mostly without symptoms.
SOME of us will be symptomatic, and a subset will be really sick.
And (unfortunately) a FEW of us will die.
This is NOT the Bubonic plague.
This is NOT the Spanish Influenza.
Tear off that face diaper.
Breathe deeply. Inhale some COVID.
Build up your immune system.
And LIVE!
“This insanity is intended to be PERMANENT.”
I fear you are correct, certainly there is no end in sight.
The worse thing Trump did was allow all this testing, even worked hard to get more testing out there. And now, the little dictators have pivoted away from deaths and on to “cases”. Using cases as a metric will allow these dictators to extend these measures on FOREVER.
The only way to stop it now, I fear, is for Americans to stand up and put a stop to it. But in a land of snowflakes and Karen’s, I’m not sure how easy that will be.
More and more people are beginning to realize that their friends and relatives are getting CoVid positive results, but they are also finding that it is pretty mild for almost all of those people. They are realizing it isnt the big death machine that the media continue to force down our throats.
People are sick of not going out and doing things. They are sick of wearing masks. Take your mask off. Stop wearing it. If you are turned down for service, thats up to the business. Thats their decision. The more we fight back, the healthier we will all be in the long run.
I think there actually might be one given how long this has gone on.
