We can't have people prudent about COVID, or rational about COVID, or thoughtful, or courageous about COVID. That does not produce the social outcomes that these people want. Being scared of COVID does.

Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!” He followed it with this similarly upbeat video statement:

The response to this tweet was characteristically unhinged in a way that speaks to the primary motivator of corporate media coverage of the virus: fear.

Just substitute any other malady that has killed many people and see if the responses make any rational or charitable sense. Trump: “Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of cancer!! Don’t let it dominate your life.” Or: “Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of AIDS!! Don’t let it dominate your life.”
Trump’s statement is the stuff of inspirational books written by athletes or motivational speakers or celebrities who encountered a serious health concern. Only because he’s Trump is he treated this way. You can see that in this recent Fox retrospective of Democrats downplaying coronavirus early on. Their comments are not held against them now, but Trump’s still are. We all know why that is.
I am not afraid of the Left. I despise their treachery. And they are want to be despots. Totalitarian Great Evil.
Anger? Cold Anger? Patriotic rage. This will pass, they will lose.
Fear and fear-mongering is the oxygen that sustains the Left. Without it, they wither and die on the vine.
Fear is the worst aspect of any new crisis that comes up. Fear of loss, of the unknown, of your own inadequacies, or that this becomes the “new normal”.
The Left has used fear to exploit the gullible, the unsuspecting, and the naivete of the uninformed ever since the beginning of the differentiation of political thought into doing something, and worrying about doing something. And that is a long, long time.
This, among many other pieces of evidence, indicates almost inarguably that the Democrats and their media took the virus and ran with it as the ultimate crisis “that shouldn’t go to waste.” They have spread fear, encouraged rebellion by leftist mobs while pushing authoritarian lockdowns on the rest of us, bankrupted businesses. ruined lives in thousands of ways, and relentlessly slandered the President, his cabinet, his advisors, and indeed everyone in the nation who doesn’t kowtow to their every whim.
This is treason on a MASSIVE scale.
If it is proven all of this chaos has been strategized and implemented by figures on the Left, there is only one penalty that fits such a horrendous crime.
And if this happened under Obama,he would be put on a pedestal and be showered as the man of virtue and courage. F-the left and all the other stooges.
They want fear as well as ignorance.
