After a bad marriage, I finally have my own apartment for the last 2 and a 1/2 years, with my 1st big screen TV.... It’s great to be able to watch sports without anybody hassling me..... And I love to watch football in the dead of Winter from the comfort of a warm home.... So while I can’t stand any of the people who run any of the pro sports leagues, It still takes some discipline for me to boycott.... I’m not boycotting baseball because I don’t think they’ve been too bad.... But the NFL and the NBA should know how many people there are like me, who really want to watch the games, even though we’ve been disenchanted with the leagues for many reasons for many years, but are making a concerted effort to teach these people a lesson by not watching
Consider seeking treatment for your sports addiction.
About 5 yrs ago I spent $2,500 on a sweet new TV. Then I realized there was nothing I really care to watch...
I agree baseball has been pretty good about not inflicting politics on us since they recognized “Black Lives Matter” on Opening Day, and I’m glad to see college football has so far avoided any major demonstrations of leftist BS.
I have not been a NBA, or MLB fan since the 90’s so “giving them up” was easy. And I only watch one NFL game a week for my favorite team. And if they get down early, and they often do, I have no problem turning them off.
Not watching any other NFL game is easy. Too much options streaming.
I think you get a pass. Go ahead, watch a few games.
