Shuttered by COVID-19 infections, the Republican-led Senate is refusing to delay confirmation of President Donald Trumps pick for the Supreme Court. They are even willing to make special arrangements so sick senators can vote for Judge Amy Coney Barrett, and Democrats appear powerless to stop them.
Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., said Monday that hell go to the Capitol in a moon suit to vote if hes still testing positive for the coronavirus, which has
killed more than 209,000 Americans and infected millions.
The push to put conservative Judge Amy Coney Barrett on the high court before Nov. 3 is like nothing seen in U.S. history so close to a presidential election. Trumps nomination of Barrett in a Rose Garden ceremony apparently became ground zero for the infections now gripping the president, his White House and its Senate allies. Three GOP senators, including Johnson, have now tested positive for the virus and several more are quarantined at home denying Republicans a functioning majority.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, chair of the Judiciary Committee, said after talking by phone Monday with Trump that the president is very excited about Barrett being confirmed to the Supreme Court.
The rush to confirm Trumps third court nominee is as much about securing a conservative court for a generation to come as it is about giving Republicans what they see as their best chances at re-election.

Senator Susan Collins and ALL Ds due for 20 re-election need to have their feet put to the fire for, still, being against the confirmation of Amy Barrett! Ditto, all of the remaining anti-Amy Barrett Senators!
This is a massive spiritual battle.
Let us tread upon the enemy’s high places and utterly defeat them in this — confirm ACB before the election, come pestilence or contagion.
The suit will have a special vent to aerosol his miasmic humours towards the Dems. This is a year to remember. Moon suited Senators, Trump flotillas, even Joe Biden. I could say I have something to tell my grandkids, but they’re already present and seeing it all. They’ve got something to tell their grandkids.

Weren't we told to 'social distance' ourselves because the tiny drops we emit when we sneeze or cough won't travel that far?
But we were also told the lockdown was to flatten the curve. Anyone hear that statement from the media anymore?
My local Walmart has a big sign at the entrance that says you must wear some type of face covering, which includes bandanas and any cloth as long as it is over your mouth and nose.
Did Walmart drink the KoolAid or are they mocking the rules?
LOL, I just said this to my hubby a day or so ago. Put those senators in moon suits and send them in to vote. Then, they can go back home.
