The reality is that, no matter what, we’ll all be exposed to it and some of us will get it...although few of us will die or even be very sick. It’s not smallpox or even the Spanish flu.

Perhaps Trump’s experience will make people realize that the important thing is the treatment, not the impossible task of keeping people from getting it (especially by shutting down their lives so they might as well be dead anyway).

Way back, when Fauci and the Dems started attacking HCQ and Remsdesiver, I remember reading a comment that “this is the only disease for which nobody has ever wanted to find a treatment.” The idea that it was treatable was anathema to the left, because it meant that people might not be in a state of panic and would realize that it was just a disease, like any other.

And we’re much better equipped in the area of treatments and research now than we were in the times of Spanish flu or the yellow fever or smallpox epidemics. Focus on treatment.
