The headline about the republican suggests that not wearing a mask was a reason for catching Covid.
But, hasn’t the left been telling us all along that wearing a mask is so one doesn’t SPREAD the virus, as the mask is not a preventative for getting the virus?
What we learned was that catching it, even in your 70’s, is a non-event. Imagine if it had been the flu.
The “I effing LOVE SCIENCE” crowd believes in Karma. They see nothing contradictory about that.
A non event?
He had to take life saving meds that are not even fully approved by the FDA in some cases.
I think what we actually learned is that there are now treatments and therapies that can save us if we catch it early enough, especially for the old and others with medical issues.
If everyone was tested then where did the COVID-19 come from? MMMM.....
I had a ‘twinge’ that PDJT would all of a sudden start ‘seeing the error in his ways’ and would start ‘pushing’ masks etc etc
It soon passed but I guess it depends on how much of a pol ‘rubbed off’ on him in the last 4 years.
I don’t want to ‘break the spell’ but notice NOTHING from the ‘Fauxi/Birx’ camp recently.
The reality is that, no matter what, well all be exposed to it and some of us will get it...although few of us will die or even be very sick. Its not smallpox or even the Spanish flu.
Perhaps Trumps experience will make people realize that the important thing is the treatment, not the impossible task of keeping people from getting it (especially by shutting down their lives so they might as well be dead anyway).
Way back, when Fauci and the Dems started attacking HCQ and Remsdesiver, I remember reading a comment that this is the only disease for which nobody has ever wanted to find a treatment. The idea that it was treatable was anathema to the left, because it meant that people might not be in a state of panic and would realize that it was just a disease, like any other.
And were much better equipped in the area of treatments and research now than we were in the times of Spanish flu or the yellow fever or smallpox epidemics. Focus on treatment.
A non event?

Two years ago my wife had the flu for four weeks and almost died. My brother had it for SIX weeks and ended up in the ER. Yet there is no flu lockdown or mandatory mask wearing.
“non-event” is a relative term. And no event that affects you dramatically and personally is a non-event - to you - even though it may be for the general public.
[[[I had a twinge that PDJT would all of a sudden start seeing the error in his ways and would start pushing masks etc etc]]]
I don’t see him going “Goldwater” on us.
Make no difference now because our man Trump has got COVID immunity.
He had to take life saving meds that are not even fully approved by the FDA in some cases.
And define “had to”.

And the media will be crowing that it isn't "proven science."
But Climate Change on the other hand...
exactly.
Dont blame them for their ignorance. The Legions of SCIENTISTS who disagree with the Left are never mentioned in the LSM. Im sure they dont realize there are as many, if not more, who disagree with them. Some sarcasm here.
I am really happy for your father’s friend and yes, a lot of people can come out the other side with no problem.
In this case, however, we learned Trump took a turn for the worse and what we also learned is that it is not a death sentence like the media might suggest. Instead, there are new and wonderful therapies that are coming on line to protect us along with a vaccine for those who choose to take it.
It’s a great story actually.
Perhaps they made a mistake. It would seem to me if he had it he would show some symptoms. It makes no sense to me. Like when some get killed in a traffic accident and gets reported the person died of the virus and not the accident.
Friday night, shortly before he announced his diagnosis, Trump was on Hannity and made the comment that Hope Hicks “was always wearing masks”.
So I suspect that he is not sold on the idea of masks.
He is wearing one now obviously because he is infected
and does not want to spread that.
Fauci initially said that masks were not to be worn. So is he responsible for all the deaths prior to his change of mind and recommended them?
Are all the people who have died from the virus after Fauci decreed masks should be worn responsible for their own deaths?
