EXCLUSIVE: Sen. Ted Cruz said Senate Democrats will do everything they can to turn the confirmation hearing of Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett into a political circus, while saying he is confident the Senate will confirm her to the high court before Election Day.
During an exclusive interview with Fox News, Cruz, R-Texas, said he met with Barrett tor 45 minutes at the Capitol this week, and he praised President Trumps nominee, saying he fulfilled a promise to nominate a constitutionalist to the court.
Cruz was included in the president's short list for potential nominees to the Supreme Court last month.

I agree. This absolutely has to get done. No redundant hearings for a justice who has already been vetted and confirmed by the Senate. Just vote and deal with the fallout. The media and the democrats are going to whine no matter what happens.
This transcends the November elections. This is about the balance of the Supreme Court with the appointment of a relatively young justice who should be able to serve for at least 30 years.
As far as covid goes; there is no reason why senators cannot vote remotely via Zoom. This must be done.
