Last night Joe Biden stayed in a Cleveland hotel - his first sleepover in over six months, since March, when he took to his basement in Delaware. The great thing about the Biden campaign is that it doesn't require Biden to campaign. Here's yours truly two days ago on the fake-speech format of his ad blitz:
If you're just the casual semi-engaged "low-information voter" (as Rush used to say), your impression is of Joe giving speeches, tirelessly, night after night, in between Jeopardy and Ellen and Entertainment Tonight. You could CGI in the rear end of Harry Truman's railroad car with distant glimpses behind of palm trees or snow-capped mountains and make Biden's 24/7 whistlestop barnstorming a little more produced ...but that might attract a little too much scrutiny.
Ha! Today Joe is doing an actual whistlestop tour - boarding a train and making seven stops. After that, back to the basement - but with enough footage for another month of campaign ads. Which may be why there were rumors this morning that, after surviving last night, the Biden campaign is rethinking whether it needs to participate in any more debates.

Did you see, on OANN last night, Biden’s train passing thru a station slowly and all he saw out the window was thousands of President Trump supporters with their signs? It was hilarious.
The Democrat Presidential campaign strategy is simple, smart. Dems were stuck with 29 pathetic candidates. Early in 2020, Trump was unbeatable. Then Communist Covid kicked into gear. Democrat strategists devised a devious plan to use Communist Covid against the U.S. and President Trump. Get all Democrat governors & mayors to deviously shut down the economy, at the expense and pain of the American people. Ignite violent BLM/Antifa mob riots to further depress Americans, as soon as the proper “spark” is found — George Filbert!
Democrats chose their safest pick, Biden, kicked Bernie to the curb (Bernie signed a Unity Manifesto Agreement with Biden), and locked Biden in his basement. The idea was to let Covid take its growing toll on America as 2020 progressed, while muzzling Joe “Gaffe Machine” Biden. Vile plan, but shrewd (for someone like “Dr. Evil”). It’s working perfectly for Democrats: Biden is now up 7.2 points, and many American voters are fatigued and depressed by the Chaos created by Communist Covid, Democrat shutdowns, Democrat BLM-Antifa violent riots, etc. It’s a Communists + Democrats double-whammy against President Trump.
That does sound hilarious, but given that Basement-Biden just stretched his lead to 7.2 points in the polls (Hillary was only ahead 2.7 points on the same day in 2016), Basement-Biden will return to his basement in a hilariously happy mood.
Barring an October Surprise, I'm very concerned that the next U.S. President will be Kamala Harris, who just so happens to be THE most liberal Senator in Congress. As Basement-Biden would say: "Look, folks, here's the deal. The fact of the matter is that this is real. No joke. Come on, man!"
