EXCLUSIVE: Republican attorneys general from across the U.S. sent a letter to the Senate Thursday morning urging them to confirm President Trump's Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
Addressing "those who believe the Senate should not hold a hearing" in their letter, which was obtained by Fox News, they quoted a similar letter that they said Democratic attorneys general (AGs) sent in support of Merrick Garland's nomination in 2016.
"The Constitution clearly sets out the process for filling a Supreme Court vacancy. The president has a duty to make a nomination," the Republicans quoted from the 2016 letter, which was signed by AGs from 19 states, including California and New York.

They should simply vote to confirm her.
She’s had a Senate hearing in the past for her appeals judge job I believe.
Cases await at the Supreme Court.
I concur with the argument that the Senate must go through with the motions so as not to taint forever her confirmation.
The Leader has it under his absolute control and is certain of the outcome
For some reason, the democrats fail to recognize that Obama got his SC nomination for Garland. It seems that they assume that all democrat nominations are supposed to be instantly accepted. They can’t seem to understand the senate confirmation part. No surprise since most democrats act like the constitution is a impediment to their goals.
The Left will taint her no matter what. I think they should just take a vote. But if they go through a confirmation hearing I hope the Republicans learned some lessons from last time. Time box it and no redundant external investigations. Let everyone ask questions and vote.
I am exasperated I tell you...when will Republicans ever learn? There are different rules for Democrats. Just because Democrats did it doesn’t mean anything. Besides, that was in the past. This is today. Now just stop it. We (Democrats) absolutely believe the President needs to be impeached for the very nerve of nominating someone for the Supreme Court in an election year. It’s just wrong!
“They should simply vote to confirm her. Shes had a Senate hearing in the past for her appeals judge job I believe.”
I think the Judiciary Committee should have a very short, truncated hearing, limited to a couple of days, then the Committee vote, followed by a one day debate by the full Senate and a vote on confirmation that evening.
Of course, Grahamnesty will not do that, and McConnell might not be onboard with it either.
The Repukes, as usual, got played on the Kavanaugh hearing, and the Repukes have a very poor learning curve.
