Good shooting, Citizen! Civilization thanks you.
Now that’s a basementman worth having. Unlike our useless demented basementman the dems have palmed off on the nation.
In Marxistchusetts you are expected to flee such danger, even if it risks your life to do so.
One notch above justifiable homicide to praiseworthy homicide.
I bet the semi auto rifle was a .22lr with 25 round magazine since the two ended up on the lawn ... soon to be under the lawn somewhere.
Nice turn of phrase.
Great line!
“The fact that the police had mugshots of them living tells us something.”
The brothers had apparently NOT turned their lives around - yet.
I so love happy endings, but two young men’s home invaded by two other young men? There’s more to this story.
And bert, you know that the house was “involved in illegal drulg trade or something else”, how? By crystal ball, sacred vision, voices in your head, prophecy, or some other arcane or psuedo scientific method that you have access to? Perhaps you have secret links to the DEA or local law enforcement that have given you this information.
Or, is it just supposition on your part. In other words you just blew it out your ass.
As a fan of of Hercule Poirot and most recently the Spenser series, the process is called intuitive deduction
I sense that these two brothers did not have the same father.
Not one to quibble over semantics, but they referred to the weapon as an “assault rifle,” which by the media’s definition is what we would refer to as a “black rifle” or an AR platform.
Meanwhile, they just refer to it as an assault rifle without knowing the actual type of rifle. Perhaps they’re transforming the definition of all rifles into assault rifles just to dispense with the details?
It is not unreasonable to think that the writer can’t define assault.
Model and caliber has not been determined...
And does not matter, it worked.
Reagan was shot with a RG Model 14, one of the cheapest POS 22 pistols you can get. (I have one, exact same model, only thing its good for is plinking now and then, and I’ll usually grab something else. But it is accurate.) About another 1/2 inch penetration and Reagan would have been dead. A barrel maybe 2 inches longer would have let a little more powder burn, just enough power to get that little bit of penetration.
I don’t know what bullet Hinkley used, but maybe a different style projectile that would expand more would have been fatal.
Point is, caliber is not critical, if you place your shot well. It’s illegal to use rimfire for deer nowadays, but my grandfather used a 22 for deer for many years, and usually 22 shorts. Put your shot at the base of the ear, a good pellet rifle can drop a deer in its tracks. The Benjamin pump can develop the same muzzle velocity as a 22 short with 10 pumps. Many modern pellet rifles can do even better. I’ve been looking at them, some can get up to 1200 FPS, while 22 short is around 750 or so.
22 LR was used for mafia “hits” for many years. ummm...behind the ear...
That said, if I have to deal with a home invader, I’m grabbing my 16 gauge pump, it stays loaded with buckshot. ALWAYS.
What a nice way to start my morning!
The more people who use rifles to defend themselves or others, the better (”common use”).
I firmly believe Reagan was shot with MEDIA COOPERATION.
How did Hinkley get in front of the line of dozens of media cameramen with no one noticing?
