Maybe, but the ones used in the 1860s could have been.
That’s true. They beat the lead into strips and wrapped it around the wooden spokes.
There are no primers available now. Gone. I have probably two dozen sources that I use and none of them have any primers left. Gun powder is also is short supply.
What kind of primers? For what caliber? Case ammo? Caps for black powder?
Thus avoiding wheel shake on the interstate.
Do you have a source with supply? Who cares about black powder. I don’t.
Black powder pistols are not jokes. The ammo is case-less and I will never run out.
If you think you’re going to wage war or self defense using a black musket style black powder gun, thanks for letting us know we cannot count on you.
I’ve been looking for some silver bullets just to cover all the bases.

The ammo shelves are empty. Been that way for months.
Australia, also.
The biggest obstacle to getting it restarted is the EPA. Trump can cut through that.
That was an Obama edict.
Two years ago I purchased 1K of 223 for $315 including shipping today it has doubled.
I was in a large local gun shop recently, and saw one buyer leave WITHOUT the AR they were planning to buy, because the store had exactly ONE box of .223 in stock. Guess the buyer figured, what good is the rifle, without ammunition? Flip side of that coin: hard to run an FFL/gun shop & sell guns, when you can't keep ammo in stock (especially for all of the first-time buyers).
The shop had lots of mags in stock, and lots of ammo in some other calibers (including a couple of my favorites, .38 Super & 7.62x39mm ;>), but basically no .223/5.56, or .380/9x19/.45acp, and very little .308/7.62x51. I've been trying to help out - brought in a sealed can (820 rounds) of surplus military 5.56 for the store owner, hoping I can replace it with new commercial stuff if Mr. Trump is reelected, and prices come back down to normal.
Of course, if the Dems succeed in stealing the election, I may regret parting with that can of ammo...
Now. If only we could organize ourselves (monthly meetings at our respective ranges) for training and whatnot, we would the most formidable force on the planet.
When all the case ammo is gone black powder will rule.
