Why isn’t China on the cutting edge of Thorium reactors?
‘Cause they would screw that up too!
“Skimming” is a way of life there to a point the old Mob could only envy.
You may remember a few years back, when a Chinese high-pressure project specified U.S. steel tube, but the builders used Chinese steel tube as it was cheaper.
I do not recall exactly how many died as a result, several I believe.
There are no current commercial or military thorium reactor designs known to work at a practical, usable level. Still in the research stage.
They *are* working towards those, though.
