A laptop and several memory sticks used to program Philadelphia’s voting machines were stolen from a city warehouse in East Falls, city officials confirmed Wednesday, setting off a scramble among elections officials to investigate the theft and ensure the machines could not be compromised before Election Day.
The equipment appeared to be taken this week, sources said. Officials immediately began checking to make sure none of the voting machines had been compromised while also working to contain the fallout for fear of how President Donald Trump and his allies might use the news to cast doubt on the integrity of the city’s elections

A large portion of this piece is both denial of a ballot set up, and then a standing defense of the policy, but —

The mass media “debunking” fails under the voting process already under way.
These officials are both denying Trump’s statements, and admitting he is actually correct at the same time.
“Fact checkers” were given fake red meat to further bash Team Trump, even while his lawyers are fighting with the Philly process.
So individuals can admittedly and literally go vote “on the spot”, without observers, as observers are denied!
This is because these memory sticks can be edited and then substituded back for the offical votes. You would have to recount everything to prove that garbage data was substituted.
This is the problem with any digital element in the voting process. It can be hacked. Philidelphia’s count just became completely unreliable.
