It’s a commonly used catheter that they insert into the vein with screw type of attachment so that drugs can be delivered. For me its quite common and it has a distinctive shape. That’s what I think it is.

As bad as the debate was, Joe’s “good luck” comment is an honest tongue-in-cheek response to Wallace’s comment “... have two minutes uninterrupted.” I re-watched the debate. Personally, I don’t know how you could make the conclusion that he had an earpiece. A disjointed cadence of speech would have been more evident.
Absolutely. Stick a pair of earbuds on while listening to Rush Limbaugh, or even your local doofus news caster, and try to keep up with him.
