Fox News host Chris Wallace, a registered Democrat, faced intense backlash on Tuesday night for what was widely deemed as bias in the debate in the favor of Democrat Joe Biden and against Republican President Donald Trump.
One of the issues that Wallace was called out for the most was how he appeared to let Biden interrupt Trump but would jump in to interrupt Trump when Trump would talk over Biden.
Fox News host Brian Kilmeade even noted the discrepancy and called it out on social media, writing: “Why is @JoeBiden allowed to interrupt? @realDonaldTrump is not.”
Fox News contributor Andy McCarthy wrote: “I love Chris Wallace, but he should get out of the way.”
McCarthy added: “Biden doesn’t support the Green New Deal. Oh, Wallace got that out of him? No, Trump did. Oh, well, did Wallace clarify what’s parts of Green New Deal Biden is against? No, needed to move on …”
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld said that it was “not good” when Wallace reportedly laughed with Biden.

Well, I have to say I called this before it happened... When we were about to turn the debate on tonight I said to the people I was with, we’re about to see Trump debate Chris Wallace and Joe Biden.
Isn’t this stuff decided by the debate commission folks actually with reps from both parties

During the debate, amid several arguments between Biden, Trump, and Wallace, President Trump said,
“I guess I’m debating you, not him, but that’s OK. I’m not surprised.”
Biden just kept interrupting the debate between Wallace and Trump.
It was very annoying.

I didn’t even watch the thing. I was born in 1968 but I watched the Nixon Kennedy debate. They were both seated and it was actually a very good format. They spoke one at a time without interruptions and without soap opera style arguments.
When did that all change?

Andrew McCarthy, a columnist for the National Review, pointed out Wallace’s need to interrupt when Biden was “having trouble with Trump’s questioning.”
Stephen Miller, a contributor to The Spectator, noted Wallace “laughing” with Biden during the debate.
Jessica O’Donnell also pointed out Wallace’s partisanship when it came to sharing laughs on the stage..“The mask is slipping, Chris,” O’Donnell wrote.
Former game show host and popular internet pundit Chuck Woolery claimed Wallace revealed a great amount of “bias” throughout the debate.
“Trump is debating the moderator and Biden,” Ingraham wrote in a tweet.
Lebanese-American conservative author and religion critic Brigitte Gabriel suggested that Fox News send Wallace to CNN
I heard Brit Hume's summary of the debate, and I doubt very much that you would miss it -- Trump was a big "bully," but that would play well to people who like bullies.
Tony Snow's summary would have been a bit more unbiased.
I suspect what you miss is Snow, not Hume.

Trump is debating the moderator and Biden.
Wallace started to ask Joe Biden if he supported BLM but you can see him catch himself ‘mid sentence’ and restructured the question. Chris Wallace knows, just like all of us, that BLM is a communist organization.
