Trump has appeared petulant and defensive while Biden has appeared oh so reasonable.
The point of the debate is not to throw raw meat to the base like us but to win over independents and unpersuaded voters. Biden is winning that game tonight and doing so while he exceeds expectations.
Calling the bearer of bad news troll or otherwise killing the messenger doesn't change the facts. Trump should have prepared for this debate.

You are wrong. Trump is being Trump and that is a bare knuckle brawler. It’s what the country voted for and what the country will vote for again. Even if Trump is doing poorly with undecideds, then so what by now there not enough of them left to make a dent in the electoral college.

Yes, totally agree. Trumps weakness is his ego and Biden got right under that, and Trump is coming across as a bully which is why a lot of people hate him. This is turning into a disaster, I can’t believe it.
Unfortunately, I would have to agree that Trump is doing poorly in this "debate". He comes off as frustrated and angry while Biden appears to be calm and self-assured.
The questions are of course total hard-balls for Trump, and softballs for Biden. The microphone is set to noticeably lower levels on The Trump podium, so Biden can talk over Trump, but not the reverse. And the "moderator" keeps arguing with Trump and taking over him.
I was hoping for a Biden meltdown, but that does not look like it is happening.
Whatever that drug cocktail was that they have Biden is working really well.

I generally agree — thus far. However Trump is on a roll now with his law enforcement points and is gaining traction. Well done President Trump. He is gaining some momentum. Now Biden stuttering on law enforcement. Maybe the meds are wearing off.
Biden has been winning points because of low expectations. Whatever points Trump is losing he is losing based on his interrupting debating style.

I’ve been worried all week that Trump is running around doing rallies and running the country and getting those 15 minute covid tests ready and so so busy and not rested or prepared, while Biden has doing nothing but rest and prepare.
Rest is important for all of us.
