I’m still wrapping my head around the idea that DNI just publicly released what it acknowledges in untested 2016 Russian intelligence chatter to raise derogatory questions about Hillary Clinton — which of course was Russia’s goal when it was doing the chattering.

Yes, this is the heart of the procedural stuff going on. By pleading guilty to things that he didn’t do, Flynn commuted perjury.The stuff about his kid is irrelevant.

No my assertion is not absurd at all. This is part of what is actually occurring. And no, the reversal as you put it, is seen in a different light. An initial plea is also not done under oath as is a guilty plea.
Flynn under oath twice pleaded guilty, also stated facts that supported the crime charged and also stated that he was not coerced in anyway(i.e., his son) to make the guilty plea -—all under oath. Fact.

To play devil’s advocate though, it certainly appears that fraud has been committed in his court. The Gov has not admitted wrong doing ...just a little late in disclosing information and then simply moved to dismiss. He should know what, where, why...and whom. This action leads to disbarment of the offenders.

Remember, every appearance in front of Sullivan was about sentencing, which Sullivan kept pushing because the proecutors got Flynn to cooperate on other cases.
when Flynn fired his attorneys and hired Powell, a bunch of different scenarios were dissected on other threads @ FR for what seemd like eons ago.
The concensus seemed to be if Powell prevailed, the only thing left for Sullivan was a Flynn perjury charge.
Well,that didn’t appear to be the case...yet... after this smoke clears, it may be the only real thing Sullivan has left.
