In Wuhan in late December, Dr. Li Wenliang warned his friends that a new SARS-like illness had begun spreading rapidly. Li’s message inadvertently went viral on Chinese social media, causing widespread panic and anger at the Chinese Communist Party. On Jan. 7, Xi Jinping informed his inner circle that the situation in Wuhan would require their personal supervision.
Two weeks later, Xi personally authorized the lockdown of Hubei province based on his philosophy of fangkong, the same hybrid of health and security policy that inspired the reeducation and “quarantine” of over 1 million Uighur Muslims “infected with extremism” in Xinjiang. The World Health Organization’s representative in China noted that “trying to contain a city of 11 million people is new to science … The lockdown of 11 million people is unprecedented in public health history, so it is certainly not a recommendation the WHO has made.”
The CCP confined 57 million Hubei residents to their homes. At the time, human rights observers expressed concerns. As one expert told The New York Times, “the shutdown would almost certainly lead to human rights violations and would be patently unconstitutional in the United States.”
Regardless, on Jan. 29, WHO Director Tedros Adhanom said he was “very impressed and encouraged by the president [Xi Jinping]’s detailed knowledge of the outbreak” praised China for “setting a new standard for outbreak response.” Yet only six days in, the lockdown—“unprecedented in public health history”—had produced no results, so Tedros was praising human rights abuses

Chinese theatre, I have been thinking this for a while. If you look at Fauci, he can always say his initial impression of the virus was correct, (and HCQ). Same with the Surgeon General on masks, initially he said masks would help spread the disease, and flipped 180°, he can also say he was initially right. I guess their reputation won’t take too big of a hit because of their preparations.
We heard from the CIA that incinerators in Wuhan were running full tilt, making it look like a plague not seen since the Black Death. The Chinese have a swine flu that has killed half there pigs, were they incinerating the pigs? Couldn’t the CIA see the train cars coming in?
If this was a hoax, and I believe it was, then the CDC, NIH, WHO, CIA and others are in on it.
My strong suspicion is that Steve Bannon is among those related to this, as he pumped out virus fear and videos from China two hours a day, six days a week, from January. He also had his apparent major benefactor/collaborator, supposed dissident Chinese “billionaire” Miles Kwok (alias) pumping supposedly insider alarmist reports along the way.
Scratch just below the surface of “Kwok”, however, and his dissident story is improbable, with accusations that he actually has been used to help China target real dissidents:

Not just the response. I have maintained since January that we will discover our own progs had a hand in everything from development to spread to response. The progs and their RINO cohorts are intent on managing the decline, this time *correctly*.
We have been taken down several notches with no shots fired except on our own streets. What we have left is the candy shell surrounding a liquid center. Our birthright was stolen and given away without our knowledge, let alone consent.

In 2017, as Guo’s public profile in the U.S. began to grow, a journalist from the Voice of America, a government-funded news service, arranged to interview him. The plan was to broadcast a live interview for three hours on social media, but top officials at Voice of America ordered it stopped after an hour and 20 minutes, according to documents and interviews, because they were concerned he was making unverified allegations.
Guo accused the VOA of having been infiltrated by Chinese intelligence, a serious charge that threw the agency into turmoil. But an investigation by independent journalism experts—and a separate State Department inspector general’s inquiry — concluded that the decision was based solely on journalistic principles, VOA officials said. The journalist who arranged the interview, the chief of VOA’s Mandarin Service, was fired.
In a 2019 tweet, the journalist, Sasha Gong, quoted Bannon as saying, “Voice of America tried to clear out all truth-tellers about China in Mandarin Service. VOA executives betrayed American people, Chinese people.”
Earlier this year, a Bannon ally, Michael Pack, became the head of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, which includes the VOA, after a long confirmation delay in his Senate confirmation.
The veteran journalists in charge of the VOA, Amanda Bennett and Sandra Sugawara — both of whom were involved in the decision to stop the Guo interview — immediately resigned.
