My super secret source says that NSA uses these kinds of alerts to ping burner phones and locate them to identified phones thus rendering the burner phones traceable.
What is the number you call for 911 help?
First to you: Oh Oh.
2nd to #3.
You want to have what they call the dispatch line for your area. They’re the people that actually send units to the area involved.
911 is 1st - “What’s your emergency?” then they send you to the cops, fire or ambulance services - most times all of them.
I keep meaning to get the two fire dept. numbers for my area. Maybe tomorrow.
If 911 is hammered a dispatch line to the LEOS can still get your info through on a recorded line. Get one or two now before you really need it.
Just check your police/Sheriff sites and you’ll find one. Put it on your phone.
Worse case call 911 and get the dispatch number.
Be polite. ;-)
