The Dark Question behind the Wuhan Virus
The Tribune Papers ^ | September 25,2020 | ADMIN - Mike Scruggs

Posted on 09/28/2020 8:33:46 AM PDT by yoe

On January 31, President Trump declared the Covid-19 coronavirus a U.S. public health emergency and issued a ban on travel between the United States and China. Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden, speaking at an Iowa campaign event, severely criticized Trump’s action, calling it “hysteria and xenophobia.” Wuhan, China.

It quickly became evident that the coronavirus was extraordinarily contagious and potentially deadly. A special problem has been that its spread is often asymptomatic. In the greatest and quickest successful cooperative national mobilization of government, industry, commerce, science, and medicine since World War II, the Trump Administration, made sure every logistical need to fight the virus was available.

[snip]My background in not in any sort of biological science. I have an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Stanford and a BS in Psychology and Math from the University of Georgia. I am a former air Force intelligence officer with some knowledge of China and the former Soviet Union, so I am more curious about such matters than most people.

I myself thought Trump acted with extraordinary speed—so much speed that there had to be much more than ordinary danger. I suspected Trump may have had some intelligence that the coronavirus might be Chinese biological warfare. The vulnerability profile of the virus also seemed suspiciously unique, as if possibly designed. After a little study on the Wuhan Institute of Virology, I was even more suspicious. The more strongly the claim that the virus came from a large Wuhan “wet” meat market was pushed by Chinese officials, the World Health Organization (WHO), the media, and some American politicians, the more skeptical I became. Since then, both President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have said there is intelligence indicating that the virus came from the Wuhan virology laboratory.

Joe Biden, speaking at an Iowa campaign event, severely criticized Trump’s action, calling it “hysteria and xenophobia.”

Biden, Pelosi and others (called President Trump a racist for doing this) "NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 212(f) and 215(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), 8 U.S.C. 1182(f) and 1185(a), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code, hereby find that the unrestricted entry into the United States of persons described in section 1 of this proclamation would, except as provided for in section 2 of this proclamation, be detrimental to the interests of the United States, and that their entry should be subject to certain restrictions, limitations, and exceptions. I therefore hereby proclaim the following..."

President Trump did this on January 31, 2020. The article sheds more light on Covid-19; severe acute respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus (“2019-nCoV”) (“the virus”) first detected in Wuhan, Hubei Province, People’s Republic of China (“China”).

I also believed from the beginning that Trump suspected that it was a bio-weapon. The dems confirmed it was a planned bio-weapon by taking every step they could to down play it early and maximize the spread/death rate.

My problem with this viewpoint is that the bio weapon is most effective against the elderly and the infirm. In other words, the insurance companies are the most to benefit. So how does that help in an all out war?

I agree. A virus that kills your adversary's weakest population is not much of a weapon. And I don't believe the CCP could have mapped out the economic damage to the West from the onset of such a plan (although they certainly would try to manage the situation to gain an advantage).

This very well may have been created in the Wuhan lab or perhaps it was just being studied there, but I can't believe the CCP wanted this pandemic. It has hurt them economically but more so, it has hurt their image. They have tried mightily over the past 20 years to improve their image worldwide with a "charm offensive" through movies, tourism, education, etc. Having the origin of this virus in Wuhan devastate the narrative they were trying to build, and that's why I don't think the virus's release was deliberate.

A good question. But upon deeper thought, as I thought from the beginning, it would be the government’s response to the virus that was far more onerous then the virus itself. And I think we would all agree, that is how it has played out. As I see it, we have a Democrat Party whose core principle, if it can be called that, is really a cloak of Shameless pandering, would rush to paint itself as the saviors of mankind and as such, it was justified in shutting down every business and virtually every form of Commerce not conducted over the internet.

It is perfectly logical to ask “what were they thinking”, if indeed cv-19 was a deliberately engineered and released virus .....if the effect was only to kill lots of older people. But respectfully, I have to consider that a rather superficial analysis. The real Target was the US economy, which is the thing that Trump has attacked in China.

Bioweapon used by the American Left, to cause shutdown to damage Trump economy, facilitate mail in vote fraud.
Why was Pelosi photographed at the Wuhan lab with the fraudulent Dr. Fauci, before the release?

There is definitely a coverup. I think it is that Fauci and some other US interests moved illegal in the USA research to Wuhan and financed it. Due to shoddy Chinese practices, it got away from them and they knew it was pretty dangerous.
We saw the red Chinese totalitarian reaction of teams of bunny suit guys spraying disinfectant on the streets, wending people into their homes, etc. They knew they had to react here to a similar level of drama.

After impeachment failed, they seized on it in an instant as a way to stop the freight train economy Trump had built and to shut down sports, churches, travel, and most of all.. the HATED Trump rallies.

It’s all bullsquirt. And Fauci should be arrested for using NIH money to fund research banned in the USA.

Agree. I do think when it got loose from their lab, they correctly decided that it would be best if it went everywhere and wasn’t just “Chinese”. That’s why while quarantining Wuhan, they allowed international flights.

I’ve seen a commercial on TV that is attempting to turn the Wuhan virus into a racist issue.

To people of Chinese heritage. We’re not in any way blaming your race for the virus. We’re blaming the Communist Chinese Party for it. They hid the urgency of the virus, locking down internal travel, while allowing international travel.

Let’s face it, the CCP, with Mao in particular, have murdered more Chinese people in history - Mao may be the greatest mass murderer in human history.

YOU are the ones making a virus all about race, not anyone calling it the Wuhan virus. In fact, it appears that the commercials are all about the CCP trying to deflect their damage.

It is a war on liberty, and the socialists gain internationally by killing the old and weak that get government funds that are now just paper. That is why I think the Davos crowd cooperated on selling this as a ‘novel’ global threat that would require extreme measures, which as Bill Maher said last year, it’d be OK to cause a recession if it took that to remove Trump.

Actually the ban was

Biden, Pelosi and others (called President Trump a racist for doing this)

Where is the link to this charge? The one you provided just goes to the White House "Proclamation on Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Nonimmigrants of Persons who Pose a Risk of Transmitting 2019 Novel Coronavirus. Repeating this gives more ammon to "fact checkers" who look for any detail that is false or unsubstantiated in order to impugn the whole of it.

On this Reuters focuses on Facebook books that erroneously cite executive order 13769 as temporarily banning foreigners from entering the U.S. if they had recently traveled to China. However, as Reuters states, that was in January 2017 and that "China was never among the countries in the initial or later iterations of this ban."

Reuters proceeds to inform that

President Trump did also issue a "Proclamation on Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Nonimmigrants of Persons who Pose a Risk of Transmitting 2019 Novel Coronavirus" on January 31, 2020. This prevents most foreign nationals from being able to enter the U.S. if they have traveled to China within the past 14 days and was widely considered a reasonable step in the coronavirus’ initial phases of spread and contagion.

This was issued one day after the first confirmed case of person-to-person transmission in the U.S., and one day after the World Health Organization instituted a Public Health Emergency of International Concern

However, that was not a complete ban. And there was also this:

nymag.com › intelligencer › 2020/01 › state-dept-issues-d... Jan 31, 2020 - The State Department raised its travel advisory for China to its highest level Finally though, Reuters asserts:

Reuters could not find evidence of major media outlets or Democrats calling the "Proclamation on Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Nonimmigrants of Persons who Pose a Risk of Transmitting 2019 Novel Coronavirus" racist, xenophobic or bigoted. - https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-trump-executive-order/partly-false-claim-president-trump-signed-executive-order-13769-temporarily-barring-foreigners-from-entering-the-u-s-if-they-had-been-to-china-idUSKBN21739V

Note the careful criteria used for this denial, requiring someone calling the "Proclamation on Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Nonimmigrants of Persons who Pose a Risk of Transmitting 2019 Novel Coronavirus" racist, xenophobic or bigoted. Yet without actually mentioning we have the title of this proclamation we have this:

“The Trump Administration’s expansion of its outrageous, un-American travel ban threatens our security, our values and the rule of law. The sweeping rule, barring more than 350 million individuals from predominantly African nations from traveling to the United States, is discrimination disguised as policy. (https://www.speaker.gov/newsroom/13120-2 January 31, 2020)

Also,

“The ban should be ended, not expanded. President Trump is doubling down on his signature anti-Muslim policy — and using the ban as a way to put even more of his prejudices into practice by excluding more communities of color,” said Omar Jadwat, director of the ACLU’s Immigrants’ Rights Project. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/31/trump-administration-expands-travel-ban-110005

I dont believe this bioligical warfare experiment was released intentionally. I suspect it hasn’t been perfected. I also believe we are lucky it wasn’t perfected and if we are smart we will take it as a grave warning that there may be future biological attacks with more potent viruses.
