We are within a day of the debate between Joe Biden and President Trump, yet there is still a substantial amount of skepticism that such an event will come up. Talk show host Rush Limbaugh has gone on record saying Biden will back out.
What is clear is that Biden has been doing nothing except preparing for this debate, with his campaign putting a lid on his appearances early every morning. Hes done with his day before most teenagers and welfare recipients are even getting up.
I can imagine what prepping Biden was like for his staff. If youve seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Im guessing it resembles the scene where the King of the Swamp Castle says to the guards:
KING: Make sure the prince doesnt leave this room until I come and get him.
BIDEN: Not to leave the room . . . even if you come and get him.
KING: No, no, until I come and get him.
BIDEN: Until you come and get him, Im not to enter the room.
KING: No, no, no, you STAY in the room, and make sure HE doesnt leave.
BIDEN: And youll come and get him.
KING: Right
BIDEN: I dont need to do anything, apart from just stopping him from entering the room.
KING: No, no. LEAVING the room.
BIDEN: Leaving the room, yes. Oh, I remember, uh, can he leave the room with me?
And so on.
Seriously, Im guessing Bidens team no sooner thought they had a topic locked down before Biden drifted into incompetence and showed he had already forgotten everything. And now we know he has been in the Senate 180 years! That should open up some fantastic opportunities for Trump:
TRUMP: I wonder if Senator Biden would tell us his view of the Dred Scott decision, or whether he supports the Kansas-Nebraska Act?
TRUMP: Since he has been in the Senate 180 years would Senator Biden tell us how he voted on the U.S. entry into the Spanish-American War?
TRUMP: Perhaps since Senator Biden has been in the Senate for 180 years, he would tell us what he thinks of Californias eugenics and sterilization laws?
Of course, its unlikely Trump would do this. Indeed, if there is a danger in the debate it is that Biden wins by simply remaining upright with his eyes open for an hour and a half.
Trump can lose by being perceived as a bully beating up on a mental deficient. This is a very real danger. If I were Trump, I would not say anything about Biden that he didnt say himself. And I would not say anything to correct his lunatic demented ramblings, but I would raise an eyebrow or look quizzically at the camera.
I think it also important that Trump not simply answer the questions hes given but answer the kinds of questions Biden is given as well. Trump himself alluded to this in one of his rallies, suggesting that Bidens questions will be something akin to his favorite color, while Trumps will be closer to the airspeed velocity of an unladen African swallow. Im serious. The difference in questions will be this stark. Bidens immense mental weakness is a far more daunting hurdle to Team Trump than was Hillarys arrogance. On the other hand, Biden has a second titanic weakness: his temper. If Trump can gently goad him into becoming surly and antagonistic, Biden will lose every bit of sympathy his condition might otherwise create. Ive seen enough residents of nursing homes to know that the old folks are sweet and a pussycat until they start cussing you out. Then attitudes shift rapidly.

Ping!
LOL - good one LS...
Larry’s been most prolific lately. :)
Let me go read and I will return with commentary.
So what is your take about what Sen. Johnson said yesterday on Sunday Morning Futures?
Hunter Biden was wired 3.5 million dollars by the female Russian Oligarch who was involved in the real estate for the Skolkovo Project. Shortly thereafter, Biden took action on that project.
We already knew the Clinton Foundation raked in tens of millions of dollars and Bill was paid huge speaking fees for speeches by people associated with the Skolkovo Project.
Why is this not all over the news? I get that the media is in the tank for Biden, but how do you ignore this? It is blatant.
It’s all there if people bother to look for it. John Solomon has been reporting on this for years.
Prediction: The debate will occur. It will be a disaster for Biden. The Democrats internal polls will collapse. By October 3 Biden will withdraw for “health reasons” and Harris will be the nominee. The Left will make a frenzied effort to seize power by any means necessary. The fraud will be blatant.
Very good advice, Larry.
That the debates are going to sway undecideds one way or another is nonsense. At this stage of the game, anyone who is “undecided” is a fool.
Okay, done. I liked it! I hope Trump is notified of your suggestion per attacking Biden. I like your more-gentle approach... the arched eyebrow, the look of mild shock at some of the answers.
The only downside is that you know the News Misleadia will carefully cut out Trump’s visual cues, so maybe he might need to come up with a gentle chiding of his own, like Reagan’s “There you go again...” but an original phrase.
He also needs to be prepared for SloJoe’s “AW COMON MAN!” that will be coming several times, and the mocking laughter that is his trademark. He needs to be ready for, and have effective counters for both.
And as a fan of Monty Python, I liked the references. This election... hell, this entire ERA.... is as bizarre as the most whacky Python sketch you could ever imagine.
Bravo Zulu on the piece, Lar.
Joe Biden will cause:
1. The price of electricity to increase
2. The value of the dollar to plunge
3. The stock market to sink
Oh, and Lar?
I have an idea or two. Communicate them up the ranks to The Man himself.
I think I have a good counter to the “Comon Man!” thing Joe does. Simply (and tailor it to the situation) with a “I know, Joe, it must be frustrating to (hear your own words) (not understand the topic) (whatever).”
The key is to point out that Joe has become frustrated and point it out, and thus, assign FRUSTRATION to Joe’s trademark phrase.
Also: Don’t mention Joe’s dementia directly. Let the audience see it for themselves.
Those are my two best suggestions, and I think the first is a stone-cold winner.
At a minimum.
The key is to point out that Joe has become frustrated ...
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
He needs to be more than frustrated, although that’s a good start! LS made the point about Joe becoming ‘angry’. He’s had some definite moments where he’s become “testy” at a minimum. His self-control is not good ... even when it was, he is inclined to get aggressive/angry when challenged or he’s trying to run over you to make HIS point. He’s going to have a hard time keeping himself together ... unless they’ve got him drugged up really good with gosh knows what (and that is going to be a necessity, IMO). I spent a lot of time in a nursing home with a friend as her Medical Power of Attorney so I saw a lot of ‘old men’ there & from several years’ experience with various ones, I can say with certainty that an “angry old man” as a result of dementia/cognitive decline will NOT be an ‘attractive’ sight. First Lady-wanna-be-REALLY-bad Jill is going to have a rough night because if Joe has issues, she won’t be able to run up on the stage & ‘save’ him, as she is wont to do.
You know why it’s not “all over the news.”
I know, but the evidence is overwhelming.
How can the media ignore such an obvious question?
Why would a corrupt Russian oligarch pay Hunter Biden 3.5 million dollars?
Trump needs to ask it early and often in the debate. He can phrase it any number of ways...
I know the answer as do you, but Trump needs to just respectfully and calmly ask this numerous times during the debates and ask why the media is not covering it or asking the same question.
I bet less than 1 out of 100 Americans even know it.
I've been referring to him as "Joe Bedridden"
Like clockwork my frustration is the headline on Fox. Crossing my fingers...
The three stages of Biden: feebl-minded, semi-conscious, unconscious. (h/t Greg Gutfeld)
Biden wins by simply remaining upright with his eyes open for an hour and a half
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s all it will take for the Ministry of Propaganda to declare him the winner.
