The New York Times on Sunday revealed portions of President Donald Trumps tax returns. The data dates back over 20 years.
Trump paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years largely because he reported losing much more money than he made, the report says.
Additionally, Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes in 2016 and another $750 in 2017. The data obtained does not show The Presidents personal returns for 2018 or 2019.
“Actually the NY Slimes reported on the same thing in 2016, that Trump lost a lot of money and hardly paid any taxes..so why is this news now”
They think that they’re going to set a trap for him?
Trump makes everything interesting. No prior presidents tax returns cause so much interest.
Those two Nobel peace prize nominations say he isnt
The NY Slimes did this today thinking it will mean Trump will not ask him any questions about crooked ass Hunter Biden and how much Joe Biden knew. The debate is Tuesday. I hope to hell Trump still brings it up.
It’s called taking a big bath. Every single business does this. You have a bad year and then say what the hell, sell that failing business and take the big capital loss to use for many years later.
People do it too when stocks crash. You sell at a big loss, invest it in something else and in a few years later make it all back and more but that original big loss is still on the books saving you tons of money.
This is a federal crime.
The headlines are what the media will push and what is remembered by the voters. What’s in the article several paragraphs down explaining the “so called tax evasion or fraud” won’t matter to those that only listen to the headlines.
I never said that.
Note the “”? That means I quoted the other poster who said:
Cheerlead all you want, but his campaign is f**cked. There will not be any talk of issues, only this.

NY Slimes hit piece not news. We knew this already about Trump in 2016, and he won.
What gives them the right to do this??? NOBODY'S tax information is anyone else's business unless they give their consent to do so. There is no law nor rule that forces a candidate to give out their personal financial data as a prerequisite to running for office.
With all this Trump Tax Talk I just remembered something:
In 2018, Amazon paid $0 in U.S. federal income tax on more than $11 billion in profits before taxes. It also received a $129 million tax rebate from the federal government (CNBC)
HA! Sometimes I ask the craziest questions.
It’s not even clear what the story is claiming. That he lost money? Ok. That he had little personal income as president?
There isn’t much substance here it’s a planned hit job. Apparently this is just the start.
And Fox and everyone else is running with it.
The tax returns of everyone working at the Slimes should be pubished, along with those of that a-hole Manhattan DA.
I watched President Trump’s Presser this afternoon, and he said it is all FAKE NEWS!
Given that NYT can lie without any consequence, it may well be FAKE NEWS!
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
BUT, I’d rather it be a REAL leak, and I’d rather the LIEberal who is the REAL LEAKER be caught and sent to prison!
Thanks!
Please see my post #295.
Don’t care. Don’t care. Don’t care..
If, going into office, he had to divest himself of his holdings and gave his salary to charity, he wouldn’t pay much in taxes, would he? This just “looks bad.”
Anything Trump did regarding his taxes PALES in comparison to China Biden using his money-laundering and sex trafficking son as an agent for selling out of America to China, Russia and Iran!
The media can go F*** itself for IGNORING WHERE HUNTER IS AND WHAT HE AND HIS FATHER WERE UP TO WHEN JOE BLOW WAS VICE PRESIDENT!
Oh yeah and FU WALLACE, in advance!
I believe he would be limited to 50% of his AGI to charitable contributions with the carryover of any excess
