OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is investigating after absentee ballots and other mail was found along a ditch in Outagamie County.
The Outagamie County Sheriffs Office says three trays of mail that were supposed to be on their way to the post office were found along the side of the road and in a ditch along Highway 96 near County Highway CB in Greenville. Deputies were initially called about a hazard on Highway 96 and found the mail.
The sheriffs office said a mix of mail included several absentee ballots but wasnt specific about the number. Investigators did not say if the ballots were in the process of being delivered to voters or if they had been mailed out by voters.
Everything was given to the U.S. Postal Inspector, and the sheriffs office is directing all questions to the postal service, which is handling the investigation.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service released this statement to Action 2 News:
We are aware of some mail, including absentee ballots, recovered in Greenville, Outagamie County earlier this week. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is investigating this matter, and we are unable to comment further at this time. Postal Inspectors encourage anyone who observes suspicious activity involving U.S. Mail to report it to local police and to Postal Inspectors at 1-877-876-2455.
Postal inspectors will have a busy few weeks ahead...or not. Take a report and file it, easy peasy.
Don’t forget that the Letter Carriers Union endorsed Joe BiteMe.
Trump supporters are going to the polls.
Vote by mail is a joke, even banana republics have less fraud when voting in a fixed election.
The ultimate DUD candidate and the ultimate joke of an election meet ina bar, and nobody is laughing at the joke.
It’s will be like proving the FBI is crooked.
Yes I am, even though my County Clerk sent me 2 applications for an absentee ballot. I guess they expected me to vote twice.
Don't hold your breath waiting for any arrests.
The voting booth isn’t much better. Hubby had his votes flipped on an electronic machine but he caught it and reported it.
Sounds like the democrats have recruited mail carriers to do some of their dirty deeds.
The USPS deserves NO additional funds.
Another one. Multiply by one million.
Democrats are evil to have caused this voting fiasco.
This isn’t necesarily intentional voter fraud. The USPS, like all government agencies, has more than its share of lazy and dishonest employees. The discovery of bags of mail in dumpsters and ditches is an annual occurrence in Chicago, where thr USPS is staffed in large part by our dusky brethren. It’s simple laziness, wanting to head home early or maybe it’s just cold outside. Theft is a regular problem as well, with gift cards and Christmas and graduation cash gifts favorite targets.

I worked as a contractor for the USPS a number of years ago. And while I can attest to the fact that most postal employees are lazy, liberal, Affirmative action babies, the postal inspectors, back then at least, were hard core and took their jobs VERY SERIOUSLY. You did not want to mess with them. They would hunt you down. That may have changed, but at one time they were some of the best in the law enforcement business.
Interesting this crap always goes down in battleground states. I guess we can now expect Dems to be "finding" the needed amounts of ballots to steal select states in road gutters instead of trunks and closets?
Yes, the postal inspectors were very good back in the day. I hope they still are.
This is precisely why I returned my absentee ballot (in person, unopened) back to the city clerk and told them I am voting in person. I voted absentee for the primaries. I have already taken off from work on 11/03 and will be at the polls right at 0700.
