I think Thomas will definitely retire, after Trump’s re-election. What better time? He deserves some good time off, for enjoying this time with family and friends.

I think Soyomayor will succumb to her type 1 diabetes in the next few years.
Liberal heads would totally implode if Trump ends up replacing 6 SC Justices. That would be totally unpreceded. And set up the SC Court for a long very long time, without the Democrats being able to do anything about it.
That is why I think that the Justices and their families deserve SS protection. We do not want to have any of them being forced to retire due to crazy people trying to harm them. The Left is going to go so crazy with every conservative nomination that Trump makes.
Only if Pubs retain their majority in the senate. Otherwise we will be given the choice of a Garland or none at all.

An “educated” guess would be Sotamayor. She’s a Type 1 diabetic since fairly early childhood. I recall an ambulance had to be called for her on one occasion after she was on SCOTUS. She’s 66 ... diabetes tends to catch up with you with potential kidney, circulatory & heart, eyesight loss, etc. issues the older you get. Despite this, I suspect she has a case of “Ruthitis” & would never willingly retire if Trump was in office to appoint her successor.
