A deepening disgrace

The Department of Justice has disclosed additional evidence of the FBI’s efforts to undermine the Trump presidential campaign and presidency. Attorney Sidney Powell includes it in her memorandum filed yesterday in support of the “agreed dismissal” of the case against General Flynn. Powell characterizes the FBI misconduct involved in these efforts as “Stalinist tactics.” The FBI’s briefing to President Obama on January 5, 2017, figures in the mix. I have embedded Powell’s memo at the bottom of this post.

[snip]"Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents tasked by fired former Director James Comey to take down Donald Trump during and after the 2016 election were so concerned about the agency’s potentially illegal behavior that they purchased liability insurance to protect themselves less than two weeks before Trump was inaugurated president, previously hidden FBI text messages show. The explosive new communications and internal FBI notes were ( disclosed in federal court filings today) from Sidney Powell, the attorney who heads Michael Flynn’s legal defense team.

“[W]e all went and purchased professional liability insurance,” one agent texted on Jan. 10, 2017, the same day CNN leaked details that then-President-elect Trump had been briefed by Comey about the bogus Christopher Steele dossier. That briefing of Trump was used as a pretext to legitimize the debunked dossier, which was funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign and compiled by a foreign intelligence officer who was working for a sanctioned Russian oligarch.

Did they pay for that insurance out of their own pockets, or did the American Taxpayers pay for it?

If Trump is reelected, his first steps should be: 1) fire Wray; 2) break FBI up into subject components (violent crime, drugs, international crimes) and distribute these remnants around the country.

EXCLUSIVE: Obama's Treasury Department Spied on Gen Flynn, and the Trump Family
beginning in December 2015 and well into 2017, Says Whistleblower
The Ohio Star | 18 May 2020 | Neil W. McCabe / FR Posted by Erik Latranyi

Obama’s Treasury Department regularly surveilled retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn’s financial records and transactions beginning in December 2015 and well into 2017, before, during and after when he served at the White House as President Donald Trump’s National Security Director, a former senior Treasury Department official, and veteran of the intelligence community, told the Star Newspapers. “I started seeing things that were not correct, so I did my own little investigation, because I wanted to make sure what I was seeing was correct” she said. “You never want to draw attention to something if there is not anything there.” The whistleblower said she only saw metadata, that is names and dates when the general’s financial records were accessed. “I never saw what they saw.”

By March 2016, the whistleblower said she and a colleague, who was detailed to Treasury from the intelligence community, became convinced that the surveillance of Flynn was not tied to legitimate criminal or national security concerns, but was straight-up political surveillance among other illegal activity occurring at Treasury. “When I showed it to her, what she said, ‘Oh, sh%t!’ and I knew right then and there that I was right – this was some shady stuff,” the whistleblower said. “It wasn’t just him,” the whistleblower said. “They were targeting other U.S. citizens, as well.”

Only two names are listed in the whistleblower’s official paperwork, so the others must remain sealed, she said. The second name is Paul J. Manafort Jr., the one-time chairman of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

The other names Obama spied in include: Members of Congress, the most senior staffers on the 2016 Trump campaign and members of Trump’s family, she said. (Excerpt) Read more at theohiostar.com ...

The “Members of Congress” being spied upon by Obama could be a goldmine of info. Betcha good money, Obama was spying on DEMOCRATS. Was Obama checking to see if Democrats were holding out on his share of the graft?

Purchasing the insurance was fraud. That’s like purchasing insurance AFTER you had the wreck, or with a deliberate plan to ram it into a wall that afternoon.

The FBI is filled with criminals and probably cannot be reformed.

Yep. Reduce it, break it up, spread the remaining pieces around the midwest (places with a Walmart and a country dance bar).

He should have good intel on who the cretins are by now.
