“It is really odd that a criminal can be deemed violent enough to not be allowed to legally own a gun, but is not deemed violent enough to still be in prison.”


The “logic” (if you can call it that) of this state of affairs is that just because you make it illegal for a convicted felon to buy or possess a firearm, therefore he will obey that law - as will anyone who has an unmarked or stolen firearm that they’re looking to fence, no questions asked.

IOW, we have been for over 100 years, and are continuing to deal with, a bunch of stupid bastards in the government...hardly a surprising phenomenon for anyone with functioning eyes, ears and just a handful of properly operating neurons.
