  An Ohio woman at a middle school football game was tasered and arrested by a police officer for not wearing a face mask in the bleachers.

  Around 300 people attended a Marietta City Schools football game where Alecia Kitts, of Marietta, was filmed getting handcuffed on Wednesday in the city of Logan.

  Kitts, as well as several other families and children, were sitting in the bleachers at the time and footage taken by witnesses quickly spread across social media.

  After struggling for at least two minutes, the officer takes out his taser and deploys it on Kitts.

  Kitts, who is still seated in the stands, lets loose a scream and nearby witnesses lash out at the officer.

  'Tasing this lady over not wearing a damn mask,' one person says.

  Kitts' mother tries to appeal to the police officer by saying, 'it’s just a mask,' but her daughter is taken into custody.

2. There was no reference about her being exempt.

3. See post #105 for statement that no one is required to wear a mask outside if properly distanced.

WE have similar baseless, no-science “guidelines” here. The guidelines are insane, ineffective, and pointless...

But that isn’t the biggest issue - the full-bore violence over a woman NOT wearing a mask, yet not endangering ANYONE (as the fundamental, CDC guidelines say 6ft OR a mask). There are ZERO reasons to wrestle a woman down and tase her over a darned mask. This is the kind of behavior engaged in by genuine fascists.

And of particular interest - one of the cops that ran up to join the melee was not wearing a mask!!!

I agree with you. I don’t care if the official reason for asking the woman to leave was “trespassing” the officer way overreacted. She was not posing a danger to anyone. Simple solution would be for the school to let her know she was banned from attending any future games. AFAIK the guidelines put out by the athletic association are just that and don’t have the force of law. Why parents and schools did not stand up to the association and flat out reject those ridiculous guidelines is a puzzle to me.
