Sorry to have to inform you of this but she and her entire family are members of a Charismatic group of Catholics that DO believe in glossolalia. These ecumenical groups are the non-Catholic spawn of the Satan Council (1962-1965). BTW, I too am a cradle Catholic and a traditionalist who attends only the Tridentine Latin Mass.

You are apparently not aware of Charismatic Catholics.

RCC is a big big tent. The only thing really forbidden is espousing salvation in Christ by grace only through faith only, apart from works — the heart of the Gospel.

The Pentecostal movement took off in the early 1900s (Azusa Street in San Fran), and long predates the Charismatic Catholics. Or, you can look over in Britain, e.g. Smith Wigglesworth.
